Ms. Porter started working for Van Buren CSD fall of 2024. She has served as a school counselor since 2016. Ms. Porter has had the opportunity to serve as a school counselor grades K-12. She obtained her Master in School Counseling from Buena Vista University and is grateful to serve the county in which she lives. 

Prior to School Counseling Ms. Porter served in a variety of community service roles. She worked with at-risk youth in shelter settings as well as families in need in the in-home setting. These roles have greatly enriched her role as a school counselor. 

When not in the counseling office Ms. Porter enjoys time with her family. She enjoys exploring outdoors, creating adventures, traveling when she can, crafts, and jamming to music in the car.
